Barber Course: The barber course is 1000 hours and takes about 9 months to complete if you attend a minimum of 30 hours a week.  To receive Licensure from the State of Texas student must pass a theory and practical exam. Students that graduate from barber course are able to be manicurist and open a nail salon.

Tuition: $13,510.00*                     

Tools: $1000.00

Registration: $50.00  *Due at enrollment. (Non-Refundable)

Smock, T-shirt, ID Tag: $90.00

Books: $350.00

At the time of enrollment into the Registered Barber Program, be prepared to submit the following items:

  • High School Diploma, GED or Transcript indicating graduation date
  • State Issued Identification
  • Copy of Social Security Card
  • 4 Passport photos 2in × 2in

Private Pay: At the time of enrollment into the Registered Barber Program, be prepared to submit the following items:

  • Proof of 7th grade education (U.S. or Mexico)
    • No Social Security Required
    • 4 Passport photos 2in × 2in

Manicurist Course

Manicurist Information

Due to the decrease in hours in barber course, it is no longer beneficial to just take the manicurist course on its own.  If you take the barber course for only 400 more hours you will be able to not only do nails but also gain all the skills of a barber.  Once again if you want to be a manicurist you can if you take the barber course.
